Family BBQ + Valve Cover Races

The NACAT Conferences features an annual favorite: Valve Cover Races!


Get ready to unleash your inner racer and join us for the most exhilarating event of the year: the Annual Valve Cover Races!


Whether you're a seasoned racer or a first-time participant, there's a place for everyone on the track. So, dust off those racing gloves, polish up those wheels, and prepare to make history as you race against the best and brightest in the industry.


Worried about traveling with your valve cover car? Ask someone local to bring one, make one, or ship it to the hotel!



Valve Cover Race Rules

Rules:

  • You must use an automotive valve cover.
  • No engines or propulsion.
  • No moving weights.
  • Wheel can be attached to the car in any manner, but must not extend beyond the front of the valve cover.
  • Nothing can extend beyond the front of the valve cover.
  • Wheel must have a non-metallic surface contacting the track.

Critical Dimensions:

  • 30 inch maximum overall car length.
  • 15 inch maximum overall car width.
  • 10 inch maximum overall car height.
  • 10 pounds maximum weight by official scales.

Explore iconic vehicles in the Legacy Gallery, feel the excitement of modern engineering in the Manufacturing Innovation Theater, and witness the assembly of the legendary Ford F-150 from an elevated walkway. Registration does not incldue dinner.
